Tuition

2017-2018 Academic Year

The school year begins the Monday before Labor Day and ends the second Friday in June. The school is closed for two weeks for Christmas and New Year’s, a week for Spring Break, as well as the day after Thanksgiving and most Federal Holidays.

All tuition is divided equally into monthly installment payments due August to May.

Tuition rates are determined by the child’s age prior to September 30 of the current school year and apply to the entire school year. Tuition rates are not adjusted midyear or affected by house placement. 

Additional Tuition Information

Tuition is an annual fee for the academic year. Tuition fees are calculated based on the number of days school is session. The weeks that the school is closed have been calculated into the tuition; therefore, no adjustment is made for those times. No refunds are made for absenteeism or vacations.

Payment Options

Tuition can be paid in one annual payment or in monthly installments. There is a 2.5% discount when the annual tuition is paid in full by August 1.

Electronic Payments Only

THE SPRINGS has partnered with FACTS tuition management as the only way to pay for tuition. To sign up for tuition please go https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/3QXHL and register.  PLEASE NOTE: Funds will be deducted from your account on the 25th of the month to ensure receipt to THE SPRINGS by the 1st of the upcoming month.  If FACTS is unable to generate payment due to insufficient funds, payment must be submitted in cash.  The school reserves the right to require cash payment in the event of multiple electronic payment failures due to insifficent funds.

Sibling Discounts

There is a 10% discount for the second child in a family enrolled concurrently and 5% discount for all additional siblings. The discount will be taken off the lesser rate of the siblings.

Additional Fees

SCHOOL LUNCH

Children enrolled at THE SPRINGS are encouraged to eat the school lunch. Parents may provide lunch if their child has special dietary needs. The cost of the lunch is $3.75 per day and the parents are billed at the end of each month.

APPLICATION FEE

A fee of $100 is due with the completed application for admission. Applications cannot be processed without payment of this fee. This fee is not refundable.

TUITION DEPOSITS

A tuition deposit of $250 is due when your child is accepted to the school. This deposit is applied towards the May tuition payment of the following year.   The tuition deposit will only be accepted through FACTS and completes your child’s enrollment.

MATERIALS FEE

A Materials Fee is included in the price of tuition.

FIELD TRIPS

A Field Trip fee will be dependent on the location of the visit and are subject to change at any time.  If a parent does not wish for a child to participate in a specific field trip, the school will make every effort to find a space in another class at the school. If no space is reasonably available, it may be necessary to keep the child home the day of the trip.

SUMMER CAMP

Summer Camp is an additional and separate fee and registration. Registration and publication of fees for camp occurs the winter prior to the start of Camp. Visit the Summer Camp page for more information.

Additional Information

A fee of $35 will be charged for insufficient fund payment errors as determined by FACTS. Tuition will be pro-rated for actual weeks attended for children starting or leaving mid-year. Please note that because tuition is a fee for the entire academic year, pro-rated tuition payments may be more or less than the monthly installment fees listed above depending on your child’s start date. No refund will be made when a child is withdrawn without 30 days written notice.  Fees are subject to change with 30 days written notice.

While children turning 5 after September 30 are eligible to participate in the afternoon class beginning the month of their 5th birthday, they will not be considered in Kindergarten in accordance with Virginia State Public Schools and most private elementary schools. Additionally, children who have not passed kindergarten and meet the age requirements for Elementary School will not be admitted into our Elementary School.
