9:00am – 11:20am (Montessori Activity Period)
Montessori activity period in the classroom including, Montessori activities and lessons, art, singing, and stories. The morning includes group activities as well as independent activities. Snack is served.
11:20am – 11:45am (Outdoor Play)
Outdoor play at the park or in the grassy area adjacent to the school, weather permitting.
11:50am – 12:00
noon (Dismissal)
Parents meet their children in downstairs hallway for pickup.
Montessori Kindergarten Class 12:00pm – 2:45pm
(5 and 6 year old children)
12:00
noon – 12:30pm (Free Play)
Free play takes place outdoors in the grassy area in good weather or indoors in the classroom in inclement weather.
12:30pm – 1:00pm (Lunch)
Lunch
eaten in the classroom. Children bring lunch from home. The school
provides milk.
1:00pm – 2:40pm (Montessori Activity Period)
Children engage in Montessori activities and lessons in the classroom.
2:40pm – 2:45pm (Dismissal)
Parents meet their children in the downstairs hallway.
Snack
and Lunch – The school provides milk and snack. Snack is
served midmorning. The parents provide lunch. Consult Parent

Full
Day Montessori
7:30am – 11:30am (Montessori Activity Period)
The morning Montessori activity time includes both group and independent activities and includes Montessori lessons, art, music, and stories. Snack is served throughout the morning.
11:30am – 12:15pm (Outdoor Play)
Outdoor play takes place either at the playground or in the grassy area adjacent to the school, weather permitting.
12:15pm – 1:00pm (Lunch)
Lunch is served and eaten and children are given the opportunity to socialize quietly.
1:00pm – 3:30pm (Nap Time and Kindergarten Class)
Montessori activity time continues for Kindergartens and children under the age of five rest or nap. Resting and napping children get up as they awaken and engage in Montessori and other activities in their classroom. Snack is served after 2:30 pm. Five and six year old children engage in Montessori lessons and activities in their classroom.
3:30pm – 4:00pm (Group Time)
The five and six year old children and children under five reconvene for group time. Group time typically includes group lessons, snack, stories, music, and/or games.
4:00pm – 5:00pm (Outdoor Play)
Outdoor play takes place either at the playground or in the grassy area adjacent to the school, weather permitting.
5:00pm – 5:45pm (Self-Initiated Free Play)
5:45pm – 6:00pm (Story Time)
Lunch
and Snacks
The
school provides milk and snacks. Snacks are served on demand and
are available to the children throughout most of the day. Lunches
are catered by Fairfax Food Services and parents are charged for
the cost.
